My high school friend/Actress Yvette Nicole Brown stopped by the Jennifer Hudson Show today! She talked about her new series, Act Your Age alongside Tisha Campbell and Kym Whitley(another Clevelander). Its a show about women in their 50’s with a Golden Girls twist. Later Brown revealed that she almost landed the role as Effie in Dreamgirls before Jennifer was cast, wow!
She went on to say that she did screen tests and helped with storyboards for the film. She didnt cast as Effie but did get a role in the film but she was cut out, dang. Did you know that Yvette was signed to Motown at 19-years-old? She initially dreamed of being a singer but she has a very successful career as an comedy actress.
