Actors Zendaya Coleman, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist visited the set of Good Morning America recently. They discussed their roles in the movie, Challenger about tennis players who are caught in a love triangle.
“What I knew of tennis before going into this film was really them,” she said. “That was my only understanding of the sport mostly, growing up and seeing their influence in my life and in the world.”
Zendaya said she was “so nervous” for the Williams sisters to see the movie, calling the experience “terrifying” but “an honor.”
Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a challenger event — close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour. Tensions soon run high when he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick, his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend.
For the show, Zendaya wore a fabulous tea dress for the interview. The design of it was a retro-styled custom floral flared dress that had tulle underlay. This look was screaming Stepford Wives for sure! See more photos inside and a video clip with the designer of this beauty as well….
