It’s all over the internet that Oprah Winfrey made her very first appearance on Sherri Show last week! Sherri was pretty much in tears as Oprah made her way onto the couch. It was announced on the show that Oprah was passing the baton to Sherri! It was such a moving experience, I’m sure! Both the ladies looked adorable wearing their purple shades to help promote the latest film The Color Purple that is due out on Christmas Day! I saw a advance screening last night and boy are you in for a treat!
Sherri Shepherd’s Emmy-nominated stylist, Willie Sinclair III, created an iconic look for the talk show host when he paired a vintage Oprah sweatshirt with a plaid skirt for the special occasion.
Sinclair said, “My mom went to see the Oprah show in Chicago with my grandmother and aunt about 30 years ago. She bought the sweatshirt and has kept it safe and sound in a cedar wood storage chest in our basement.” He continued, “Months ago, I found the Sachin & Babi poly faille skirt and thought it would be perfect for the holidays. So when we found out that Oprah had been booked on the show, I knew it was the right time to put it together. We topped off the look with a purple belt and matching purple heels from Zara.” See more photos inside….
