Last night, Netflix hosted a celebratory fan screening of Falling For Christmas at the Paris Theater in New York City! Actress Lindsay Lohan stars in the holiday film and she made an appearance looking all dolled up for the red carpet! In the film it’s about a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.
Now let’s talk about this $13,000 embroidered gown that Lindsay was wearing. I’m trying to find the words right now but I had to do a quick little google search to find out just how old Lindsay is lol! From my understanding, she is 35 years-old but this dress just aged her tremendously. I know that she has been working with a well-known stylist but he was wrong for putting her in this and I mean this in a positive way. I’m in my 50’s and I still would have declined wearing such a gown lol! It’s just not flattering on her at all. I’m sure it was a loaner and with that price tag, yes I know that for a fact, so it couldn’t be taken in on the sides that is much needed to soften the silhouette.
It’s a lovely dress I’m not taking away from that at all but it is definitely a look for a much older person heading to a royal gathering or a grand wedding. I try my best to stay positive on this blog, so I will just say it was a miss and it was giving Mother-of-the-Bride realness and I’m going keep it moving lol.
