Grammy Nominated Singer Halle Bailey made her way to the most happiest place on earth this week! Bailey is set to play “Ariel” in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Bailey was selected as the new celebrity brand ambassador for the Disney Dreamers Academy this year and had the exclusive opportunity of taking part in a magical parade at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
For the festive affair Hailey opted out for a light denim two-piece suit with sparkly makeup and her signature braided updo! She finished off her look with platform sandals. At the parade I had the opportunity to ask her about how she felt having a mermaid doll made in her likeness and she said, “it was incredibly emotional because It means so much to me as a little girl inside. I was squealing! It represents so many black and brown babies, adults and teens. It was such an honor to have a doll like that for everyone us to grow up and see.”
