Venus began playing tennis at the age of 4 and turned professional at just 14 years old. She has won seven Grand Slam singles titles, including five Wimbledon championships.

Venus was a key advocate for equal prize money in tennis. Her efforts helped lead to the U.S. Open becoming the first Grand Slam tournament to offer equal pay for men and women in 1973. Beyond her tennis career, Venus is a successful entrepreneur. She co-founded the interior design firm V Starr Interiors and has launched her own activewear line, EleVen.

Venus has won four Olympic gold medals—one in singles and three in doubles alongside her sister Serena.

She reached the world No. 1 ranking in women’s singles for the first time in 2002 and held that position for a total of 11 weeks. Venus has been an inspiration to many athletes, particularly women of color, and is often praised for her sportsmanship and determination.

She published a memoir titled “Come to Win” in 2010, where she shares insights on her life, career, and the importance of determination.

Venus was diagnosed with Sjögren’s syndrome, an autoimmune disease, in 2011, which she openly discusses to raise awareness about health issues.Her influence extends beyond sports; she has appeared in various media, including TV shows and documentaries, highlighting her impact on culture and society.
