I do not blog about or really know too much about the transgender community, so forgive me if I do not know all the terminology and correct lingo lol. I’m not trying to offend anyone, I’m just voicing my opinion on pop culture and what’s going on in my city that seems to be getting crazier by the minute lol. Last night I was on the phone with a media friend, when she saw on twitter all these tweets saying that Arthur Amiyah Scott (who is almost a complete trans person) was joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Ofcourse we laughed and I rolled my eyes because that sounds very dumb to me but you never know what these producers are up to nowadays and to gain ratings. Especially since their main reality star NeNe Leakes has left the building(allegedly). I don’t think NeNe really left the show at all, a much needed break perhaps but that’s another blog post though lol…
TWT TEA: I was actually invited out to Kenya Moore’s hair launch party last night and she personally sent me an invite but she changed the date from Saturday, August 15th to Monday, August 18th (due to conflict in scheduling & filming with the other castmates) it just didn’t workout for me. It was also a really bad thunderstorm yesterday evening and I was just not in the mood for driving and sitting in traffic. If you live here in Atlanta, then you know if we have one drop of rain, EVERYBODY and their mama seems to lose sense on how to drive in water, smh! So I didn’t want to be bothered, get my outfit all ruined and my hair in a big frizz ball, so I opted out lol!
On social media last night they were chatting about this transgender person named Amiyah who is supposedly joining the cast and I started to giggle. TMZ even fell for it and put up the fake story lol. After that, it spreader everywhere like a disease! If you are not aware by now, Atlanta bloggers/media sources has a lot of influence on pop culture now! EVERYONE reads are blogs and follows us to find out all the latest scoop! Tell me what blogs or other news sources you read for info outside of Atlanta? Name one blog in NYC or Miami, Los Angeles besides TMZ? I know there are slim pickings right? So for newsworthy stuff people rely on us!
First off, we do NOT have paparazzi here in Atlanta but we do have about “three thirsty photographers” that work with TMZ and send them cell phone & photos with recaps because TMZ pays them for their scoop, be it true or just a rumor. I hear they don’t pay much either. Between these three guys, one of them jumped the gun and must have seen Amiyah at Kenya’s party mic’d up and assumed that she would be one of the new cast members! Everyone around the city is trying to figure out who the new girls will be. I keep hearing Actress Kim Fields will be added to the cast too but that doesn’t seem right either, hell she don’t go to ANYTHING here, so I can’t even imagine her on a reality show lol! I have NEVER seen her out, NEVER, and she lives here lol!
If you watch Bravo, they’re all about pushing the envelope and supporting the gay community, so it was no surprise to me that the producers invited Amiyah to come out to see how she would mesh in the Atlanta Housewives environment and to stir up a bit of controversy. They have to remember though, most of the Atlanta Housewives are married, who’s going to be Amiyah’s friend? I haven’t even seen Ms.Lawrence or Derek J hanging out with any of the housewives either this season while filming…Hmm? So, it will be quite interesting to see who they pair Amiyah up with to be the “fake friend”. One of my loyal readers just told me that Amiyah doesn’t even live here, resides in Louisiana, bloop! Amiyah is stunning to look at and rumored to have dated a few rappers in the Atl(one really well known rapper & tv personality too) but I have NEVER seen Amiyah out. I don’t think I have ever snapped a photo either.
So time will tell if Amiyah is truly added to show, you can never believe everything you read though, I think my readers are smart enough to know that by now. I think Amiyah will be more of a background character or friend of someone perhaps but to be holding a peach? Nawl but time will tell, till next time! xoxo
