So if you guys have been under a rock, then I guess you don’t know that lots of people here in Atlanta are buzzing about reality star & singer K. Michelle being a “no show” at the For Sisters Only event over the weekend! Come inside to read what I heard and more! Ooh chile!
So I was running around town and my cell was ringing off the hook because people knew that I had attended the For Sisters Only event. Everyone wanted to know why K Michelle was a no show. There are a lot of conflicting stories but I think I can break it down with three scenarios for you guys. I arrived at media check-in about 2pm. I was given a ‘run of show’ with the list of artist that would be performing. I did notice that K Michelle was scheduled at 4pm, no big deal. The bigger artists performed later on in the evening like Ciara, the R&B Divas, Tamar Braxton and lastly Kelly Rowland. One thing that was confusing to me was this. My friend Julian styled K. Michelle earlier in the day and tweeted a picture for instagram. At the event, I ran into him backstage and he said he rushed over to get to the event to watch K Michelle’s performance. He said “yes I styled her, she looks amazing, I put her in a cute jumpsuit”. She’s here too. I was like, Oh, ok good, I never seen her perform, this should be good. It was about 3ish then.
Four o’clock came and went and K Michelle never came out and V103 never announced that she was not going to appear. They had her picture on a huge screen with other artists. The crowd was ready to see her too but she never came out. They kept the show moving along with other artists but lots of fans seemed to notice something was not quite right and started to talk about it in the crowd. Everyone was whispering where is K Michelle? What happened to K Michelle? She had LOTS of fans there waiting, that wanted to see her.
TWT TEA: She tweeted that she had “technical difficulties with her band”. I was taken back when she tweeted that because NOBODY that performed on stage had a band lol! Not even Ciara, The R&B Divas, Kelly Rowland and not even Tamar! They all song over a track lol, so what was with her saying she had a band? Girl Bye! Here is what I’m going to say. I think that she either saw the line up and said, I’m bigger than these artists and threw a hissy-fit, or secondly she never intended on coming in the first place because she did catch a plane to North Carolina and did a show. Or thirdly, she just didn’t show up because of the beef she has with Tamar and didn’t want the drama. I’m hearing thru the grapevine that she just didn’t like the line up but I think it was a mixture of all things why she decided not to show up.
K Michelle I am not a fan and I don’t listen or buy your music but honey you have a lot of fans that have supported you here in Atlanta. You let a lot of people down. Not just your fans but executives too. You moved here from Memphis, came to Atlanta to get your career going, landed on a ratchet reality show, V103 played your music in heavy rotation then you do this. Then you leave Atlanta to move to New York City, like you’re better than somebody. You never bite the hand that feeds you, is all I’m saying girly. Whatever the case may be, she owes a lot of people an apology. Her fans and the good people at V103. Till next time. xoxo
