The Magnolia Room in Tucker, Georgia, is known for its authentic Southern comfort food, prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients. The cafeteria-style eatery offers a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of old-school cafeterias, with decor featuring periwinkle-blue and apple-green hues from the 1950s. Fresh flowers on each table add to the homey feel.
The restaurant was founded by a former patron and employs many former cooks from the beloved S&S Cafeteria, which closed in 2016. This continuity has helped maintain the quality and charm that patrons appreciate. The Magnolia Room serves a variety of Southern dishes, including fried chicken, catfish, and a range of vegetables and desserts.
Patrons often rave about the friendly and attentive staff, many of whom have decades of experience in the food service industry. The cafeteria is not only a place to enjoy hearty meals but also a community hub where regulars are known by name. I had a fun time picking out many items to try, it was so much to choose from, I was going bananas lol! Everything was fresh and smelled and taste so GOOD! We enjoyed our experience and do plan on visiting again in the near future! Check out a few things we had inside and stop by if you plan on visiting Atlanta or you stay in the area!
