On Wednesday July 19th, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur and award-winning creative director, costume designer, and entrepreneur June Ambrose celebrated the launch of the Avant Garden Party Kit at the Public Hotel in NYC! Notable guests included rapper Lil Mama, Emmy winning commedian Jerrod Carmichael, film producer and entrepreneur Tonya Lee (wife of Spike Lee), Emmy-winning journalist and MSNBC host Ari Melber, designer Jerome Lamaar, and more.
Guests sipped on drink of the summer and current TikTok obsession the St-Germain Hugo Spritz, while enjoying a preview of the St~Germain Avant Garden Party Kit. Curated by June herself, the kit includes garden party-ready essentials from some of her favorite Black and woman-owned brands.
June greeted guests gilded in a gold Ronny Kobo frock paired with gold, sky-high vintage Brian Atwood heels. She was overheard telling guests the look was inspired by both Barbie and Carrie Bradshaw, as evidenced by the large sparkling gold flower that adorned her shoulder.
Ever the consummate host, the designer and creative director buzzed around the event, introducing her guests and ensuring everyone had a fresh St~Germain cocktail in hand.
Ari Melber arrived late, coming straight from hosting The Beat on MSNBC. Sitting at June’s table for dinner, he got up to make a celebratory toast, exclaiming, “There’s no July without June!”
Rapper Lil Mama arrived fashionably late but was one of the last guests to depart, laughing with June and sipping on a St~Germain Hugo Spritz that matched her dress. At one point, she brought the party to Instagram, going live to show her followers how much fun she was having.
Film producer Tanya Lewis Lee flew directly from her family home Martha’s Vineyard, determined to celebrate her longtime friend June.
The evening was scored by music from a string quartet, playing both classical and pop hits. At one point, June got up and danced for all of her guest to an instrumental of “Treasure” by Bruno Mars.
Jerrod Carmichael arrived in an off duty look, sporting a crisp white tee, jeans, and Birkinstock Bostons. He sat next to June at dinner and chatted animatedly throughout the course of the dinner. See all the fun inside…
