On the Friday, September 15 special edition of “Tamron Hall,” Tamron celebrated being ‘free after 50’ on her 53rd birthday! Tamron brings out Angelique Miles, Elaine Davis and Renae Olivia Raos who spoke on how to look and feel your best at any age. Then, QVC’s “Over 50 & Fabulous” host Mally Roncal demoed her expert beauty tips on a lucky audience member. Susie Troxler joined the show to share how Tamron’s fertility journey inspired her to have a family of her own. Tamron touches on her fertility journey:
“You all know I had Moses, my sunshine, when I was 48. I went through fertility treatments for years. Well in my 30s, I still felt like I had some time and the fertility clinic felt like a bright room. In my 40s, I saw all the gray, the faces looked gray, the walls were gray, nothing seemed shiny, but I was banking on the possibility of having one of these. I didn’t give up and I shared my story with all of you, especially the women over a certain age.”
Susie Troxler on how Tamron’s fertility journey inspired her own:
“We were going through our IVF rounds and I was just in the grocery store and I saw the People Magazine with you on the cover and you know how things will happen and you think it’s like a coincidence, other people will think it’s a coincidence, but you look at it and you’re like ‘this speaks to me?’ That was that magazine. It was hope for us.”
Renae Olivia Raos talks about the feeling of being over fifty:
“As a woman, you kind of put a lot of pressure on what you look like, what the age is and you can’t do this now at 50. And so I felt like, oh wow, I can’t wear a pink corset top at 50? You know, like, these are things that went through my mind and when you get that out of your head and you kind of are like I’m gonna embrace this and just say, you know what, forget about the number, wear what makes you feel happy, confident and good about yourself.”
