It was a very warm summer evening when I got a phone call from a friend named Patricia. She said, what are you up to? I said nothing much, when she then asked me if I wanted to come over for good conversation, drinks and food. Ofcourse I was happy to get out of the house because my weekend was pretty quiet around here. I then thought to myself, hmm why not make it a Girls Night In, just like ol’ times!
For years, I use to have these really fun Girls Night In parties around town and would invite 4 to 5 women out, interview them and giveaway all these cute items on my tv show. I don’t do my tv show anymore but I haven’t done a Girls Night In for awhile now, and thought to bring it back. It’s an intimate setting and I host it at different cool looking places. So those of you that are new readers may not have heard about them but I did them quite frequently. It’s really fun and you can do them too in your city! I love getting women together to talk about life, kids, family and business. It’s really fun to get a way for a few hours with no interruptions and sit back and relax.
This time around we traveled to Midtown Atlanta to a private property that my friend is staying in. Her business is to stage homes and put them on the market. This cottage style mini-mansion is on the market for over $500,000! It’s quite fabulous inside with all major upgrades, pretty gardens and I loved the kitchen and sitting area. It’s a charming home for sure built in 1908. Patricia is also a foodie and prepared a yummy kale salad for us and these cheese fritters that were scrumptious! She mades us a delish pink cocktail too! We later gathered in the sitting room where we just talked girl talk, so fun! I plan to do these more often since I’ve cut my schedule down some but in the meantime, check out a few snaps. I would love to see more women fellowship, get together and enjoy each others company. Women need to stick together and put aside the differences and embrace each other more. I hope to read and see your Girls Night In events soon! Till next time! xoxo
