So humbled when I opened my email and found out that I was asked to be an awardee for the first-ever The Beautiful Mile Experience! Its an empowerment experience taking place next week here in Atlanta and I can’t wait to find out more about it and meet everyone! A Heroine in Heels Awardees 2016
The A Heroine in Heels Award was established by Author|Film Director|Advocate Ardre Orie, to recognize women who redefine what it means to be beautiful by courageously breaking down barriers to enrich the lives of others. A Heroine in Heels Honorees represent a myriad of professions and life journeys and we believe that yours is to be honored. It is our hope that by showcasing the courageous acts of the awardees, young ladies and women of all ages might also be inspired to redefine beauty through acts of service and their body of work.

The Beautiful Mile is the first ever beauty walk and empowerment experience, established by author, film director and advocate Ardre Orie to attract and directly connect women ages 18-35 with media, like-minded businesses and corporations, beauty industry professionals and key entertainment influencers who believe in the empowerment of women and girls to raise awareness regarding the harmful effects of societal imposed beauty standards.
Purpose:
The Beautiful Mile will establish a national platform and create widespread awareness about the harmful effects of societal imposed beauty standards and demeaning media messaging that prevents women and girls from reaching their full potential.
A portion of proceeds raised from The Beautiful Mile will be used to launch a national marketing and advocacy effort to engage women and girls in targeted communities throughout the US in meaningful conversation and community advocacy programs.
The Beautiful Mile will also be filmed as a documentary directed by Orie to further engage audiences world wide.

Yes, paid parking is available across the street at Ponce City Market. Street parking available, at your discretion.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No. This is a family friendly event for all age ranges.
Do I need to print my ticket to gain entry?
Yes, print ticket and bring to registration. You will be asked to show ID upon entry. You will not be allowed entry into event without a form of personal identification.
