Congrats are in order for R&B Singer Ashanti and Rapper Nelly! They are expecting their first bundle of joy together! Ashanti who is 43 and Nelly, 49 “sorta” made an announcement while both of the love birds attended Nelly’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis! During the event Ashanti stood up and put her hand on her stomach while on stage while Nelly placed his hand on her stomach as well and they both laughed! Hinting that they are expecting. As we all know, they have had a rocky relationship in the past but it seems as if the two are back on track with this recent baby news!
They dated on and off from 2003-2013. Both met at a Grammy Awards press conference. They reconciled earlier this year after being spotted at a boxing event in Vegas. The made it official by posting on Instagram that they were a couple. I like this and LOVE wins again, so happy for them! Recently Ashanti gifted Nelly with an old school vintage 1962 Chevy Impala that he dreamed of having. She surprised him at his star-studded Halloween/Birthday Extravaganza here in ATL! It will be Ashanti’s first child and Nelly shares daughter Chanelle, 29, and son Cornell Haynes III, 24, with ex Channetta Valentine. Nelly also adopted two children from his stepsister Jaqueline Donahue who died in 2005 from cancer.
I wonder will they raise the baby in New York City or here in Atlanta? Nelly lives here while Ashanti lives in upstate New York, time will tell! The baby is going to be super cute and I wonder what the baby shower will look like, stop back to find out! More inside….
