My Style: D’IYANU African Print Peplum Top And Pants

I was headed out to a VIP Toyota Reception while in Jackson, Mississippi. During the whole Toyota Black History Tour Road Trip, I tried very hard to wear all African-American Fashion Designers or vendors because I felt like it was very important to the culture. This was one of my favorite outfits to wear, a two-piece African Print peplum top and wide-legged pants. I thought it went with the whole inspiration of the trip. Funny story though…. I was in my hotel room just lounging around when I got a text asking me where I was at. I was very confused because I am a very prompt person and I looked at the clock and I had about another 30 more minutes before the event actually started.

They just said that the guest were arriving earlier than expected and wanted me to head down. It startled me at first because I am ALWAYS on time, you wouldn’t believe that but yep, I am. When I arrived and walked in the room, it was filled with lots of Executives etc and the room got real quiet. Everyone turned and started whispering who is that? People walked over to me thinking I was a speaker or something and I responded by saying, “I’m sorry, I am just here on behalf of Toyota, as one of their influencers from the road trip” lol. This outfit was definitely a head turner and everyone thought I was some “big wig” from the brand lol. It was a good laugh for sure but glad I picked this outfit out for the occasion lol. It definitely made a statement! Enjoy more pics and where to find inside…
