As soon as I arrived at the tv station and got ready for my segment for CBS Better Mornings Atlanta, everyone in the studio wanted to know where I got my dress. I told them that I ran out yesterday, last minute to find it. I was on the hunt to find something a bit conservative to wear on the morning show. Thats right kiddos, I don’t really own anything really conservative lol. Most of my dresses are bodycons, plunging necklines or have prints on them and those are no no’s on morning tv! You also shouldn’t wear white, did you guys know that? I watch a lot of morning tv and that’s why you see news anchors look so boring and with drab colors on because tv is very tricky and the cameras do weird things if certain colors or patterns are worn. Now you guys know that trick the next time you may get an opportunity to do something on tv.
I remembered this all too well because if you may remember, I have a certification in tv production and we always had wardrobe malfunctions lol. Lots of trial and error when working on tv lol. Being on set reminded me of when I had my talk show before transitioning to the blog, so all of this was fun for me. I picked up this soft peach Eva Mendes Collection Aubrey peplum dress from New York & Co. because I loved the style and fit of it. Perfect for morning tv and the style and neckline was appropriate. I added some old BCBG sandals and a cute necklace borrowed from the stylist on set and I was ready for my close up! The dress is on sale now for $44.97 and still available on the website! xoxo
