Last night I stayed up to watch the Miss USA pageant and it was pretty good! It took place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this year. Although I was rooting for Miss Georgia Tiana Griggs (who made it to 2nd runner-up) Nia Sanchez from Nevada took home the crown!
Nia is a 24-year old model and a fourth-degree black belt. Nia looked lovely and although I didn’t pay her that much attention during the competition, she did wear a very strikingly beautiful fitted dress when she hit the stage for the evening gown competition. The red really caught my eye! She wore a custom gown created by fashion designer Michael Costello. Loved it and congrats to her! I will be judging the Miss Black US Ambassador Pageant in July, make sure to check back for that! xoxo
