In celebration of Earth Day and the upcoming release of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, Sony Pictures partnered with the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Office of Entertainment on a BE AMAZING Earth Day Neighborhood Clean Up in Little Five Points today!
Approximately 100 City of Atlanta employees and members of the Little Five Points business community participated in the volunteer event alongside students from KIPP WAYS Academy, who were challenged to BE AMAZING by Spider-Man himself. Spider-Man was on hand to assist the volunteers with various projects including garden planting, mulching, sweeping, painting, recycling with Cartlanta and auditing energy with Georgia Power.
Spider-Man was in Atlanta today to help spread the word about THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2’s BE AMAZING nationwide campaign, which aims to mobilize fans to volunteer, make a difference in their community and to be green throughout the year following the eco-friendly steps outlined in the BE AMAZING pledge. For more on the BE AMAZING initiative and to download the pledge, visit www.BeAmazing2014.com. Several BE AMAZING events took place across the country today, including in Miami where cast members Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan completed a beautification project at a local school. The Amazing Spider-Man 2™ arrives in theaters nationwide on Friday, May 2, 2014. #BeAmazing2014
