SCAD TVfest continued on Thursday with a mixture of panels, masterclasses, exciting screenings and celebrations of LGBTQIA+ and Black excellence. Actress and producer Sonequa Martin-Green was presented with the Spotlight Award at an “In Conversation” immediately following a screening of “Star Trek: Discovery.” Leading lady Josie Totah was presented with the Rising Star Award, followed by the screening of “The Buccaneers.”
Additionally, actor and executive producer Kelsey Grammar was presented with the Legend of Television Award, while a Q&A with Grammar, Jack Cutmore-Scott, and the cast followed a screening of “Frasier.” Additional guests in attendance were actor Brandon Flynn (“Manhunt”), showrunner, director, and executive producer Peter LoGreco (“We’re Here”), co-showrunner and writer Simon Racioppa(“Invincible”), John Green (“Turtles All the Way Down”) and more.
