Peacock gave a celebratory toast with a star-studded red carpet premiere event and screening for the highly anticipated limited drama series “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” in Los Angeles. In attendance was series cast Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Harold Perrineau, Creator, Co-Developer, Writer, Director, Executive Producer Malcolm D. Lee, Co-Developer, Writer, Executive Producer Dayna Lynne North and Executive Producer Dominique Telson.
Special Guests Monica Calhoun (The Best Man franchise), Salt of Salt-n-Pepa, Jeremih, Olly Sholotan, Cassandra Freeman and Jimmy Akingbola (Bel-Air), Lance Gross, J. August Richards (Vampire Academy), Luenell (Dad Stop Embarrassing Me), Aaron Jennings (Grand Crew), and Mayan Lopez (Lopez vs Lopez).
To kick off festivities, Lee and North set the intimate space with opening remarks. Following the exclusive screening, party-goers were drawn to the dance floor by Ginuwine and 112 as they performed “Candy,” and led everyone to the electric slide taking a page out of the original The Best Man film for a full circle moment.
