The Black Music Honors 2023 were filmed on Friday May 19th at Cobb Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Ga. This year they honored Missy Elliott, SWV, Evelyn Champagne King, Jeffrey Osborne, with special performances by Anthony Hamilton, Queen Naija, David Banner, The Shindellas and a host of others! There was also a tribute for SWV performed by Sevyn Streeter , Lil Mo, that did a rendition of “Weak”.
I was in attendance and saw a lot of familiar faces on the red carpet that was hosted by LeToya Luckett and DeRay Davis.
