I can not believe all the fun I get to have as a blogger! Although it was a very short trip, I really enjoyed getting a personal invite from Warner Bros. for a press junket for the upcoming movie, The Lego Ninjago Movie. I headed back to sunny San Diego, California and stayed at The Lego Hotel. I remember a few years ago staying at this exact same hotel for the first Lego Movie! It was just as fun as the last time lol! I stayed on the “Pirates Floor” and my room was really cool looking. After getting settled in, I headed to the LegoLand Park where I checked out the gift shop, got a chance to experience Ninjago The Ride and I just kicked back and had a good ol’ time relaxing! My kids were also invited to come along but you know how teenagers are, “that’s for babies!” Oh well, more fun for me LOL!
Later, we all headed to the theater to see an advance screening of the film, then we had a post-screening party. The party was jumping to, oh my gosh! There were photo booths, video game stations, food galore, cocktails, Lego building stations, caricature artists and so much more! The next day was the actual press conference where all the cast took questions from us and I actually got to meet Actress Olivia Munn! She was stunning in person! Check out all the photos and don’t forget to check out the movie on September 22nd and take the entire family! You will laugh so much and it’s very easy to follow along for all your kids ages! Thanks to Warner Bros for always making my experiences so memorable!

Me with the gorgeous Olivia Munn who’s the voice of “Koko” in the movie.
I was in a military family and was always the new kid. So, one of the hardest things as a kid, I think, is finding a group to hang out with and have lunch with. And that starts pretty early on. Like, cliques start like five, six years old. But I had a realization when I was, like, around 10 years old. And I realized that, like, there’s always going–’cause there’s a thing that kicks in where you want to just be liked by people. Then you want to be, like, with the popular kids.
And I want that really cool pencil case, and I want that backpack. And we didn’t grow up with a lot of money, … I was becoming envious and feeling very alone. Then I had this realization no matter what, there’s always going to be somebody prettier, taller, you know, nicer, smarter, richer, and that there’s always going to be people on the other side of that as well. And I just have to do my best at being me, and hopefully, it will all work out, because I can’t worry about people, you know, ahead of me. I can’t worry about people behind me. I’ve just got to, you know, run my own race.” ~ Olivia Munn
