Hello my LOVELIES! I hope you have a fantastic Valentine’s Day! I was at my girlfriend Jen’s house last night making sweet treats for V-Day, it’s definitely my favorite holiday hands down! We came up with some last minute but very easy treats that anyone can make in a matter of a few hours. We made heart-shaped rice krispie treats, chocolate bark and cupid’s crunch! I absolutely LOVE to bake but I didn’t want to be stuck in the kitchen all day long baking because I wanted to enjoy the day. So these treats definitely worked out for both of us. We both have very busy schedules, omg! If you are looking to make your sweetie something special, these recipes will have them thinking you spent a lot of time on them, ha!
Jennifer made treats for her daughter’s Lacrosse team and I made some for my teens who expect some sort of gift(although they are grown lol). Another thing I loved about making these treats was that I can also ship to loved ones that are not here. Check out all the recipes inside and thanks to Jennifer/OhFiddleDeeDee for helping me with these adorable sweets! Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone! xoxo
Valentine’s Day Rice Krispie Treats
Melt your candy, and then decorate the krispie treats. It’s very simple.
Cupid’s Crunch
8 cups Skinny Pop popcorn (one 4.4 ounce bag)
2 cups pretzels
3/2 cup lightly salted almonds
2 Tablespoons strawberry Kool-Aid drink mix (with the sugar already added) 1 bag Valentine M&M’s
Candy Sprinkles
2 bags of Ghirardelli’s brand of white melting wafers,
pink gel coloring
In a VERY large bowl mix together one entire bag of melted white candy wafers with your popcorn and half of the pretzels. Mix together the pretzels and popcorn with the melted candy wafers until coated well. Spread the combination out on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle your Kool-Aid on top of the sticky mix.
Next, add a few more pretzels, any candy, nuts or sprinkles you might want to combine. Melt a second bag of candy wafers, divide into two bowl and tint two shades of pink. Add the melted candy to a candy-making squeeze bottle and drizzle all over the snack mix just to make sure everything is all stuck together.
Let the mix stand about 20 minutes until the candy is set, then break a part, put into seasonal baggies or a pretty bowl and serve.
