I had a very nice time here in Charlotte, N.C. checking out Dita Von Teese Strip Strip Hooray show! It was the last tour stop and I am so excited I got a chance to check it out! Come inside for my review!
Deana ‘Big Mamma D’ Pendragon
Ford was so kind to let me cruise on over to Charlotte, N.C. in “Fifi”(my 2014 Ford Fiesta) to see one of my favorite style icons and Burlesque dancers Dita Von Teese! It was an amazing experience and I got to meet some huge fans like myself. When I arrived at The Fillmore in downtown Charlotte, the line was wrapped around the building with lots of fans. I snapped a few pictures of Pinup-styled dressed ladies in the crowd, then noticed a very vibrant lady. Her name was Big Mamma D who’s a staple here in Charlotte. She is a singer and costume designer and I got a chance to chat with her for a few seconds before the show. It was fun meeting so many people who love the art of Burlesque. I was a bit bummed out that Dita was not doing any interviews before or after the show because of her tight schedule and if you wanted to do the “Meet & Greet’ with her it was an additional $182. I had already had V.I.P. seats that was a fortune, so I opted out for that lol. The venue also wouldn’t allow any cameras inside, I was so upset, oh well. I still had a nice time with my cut-buddy and fellow blogger Rashon Carroway(Mr.Goodwill Hunting)who joined me for the evening and lives here.
Me and Big Mamma D

My Review: I thought the 90 minute spectacle was amazing but ofcourse I’m going to say that! I liked the other acts in the show as well. I really adored the M.C. who’s name is MC Murray Hill. He/She had the funniest jokes ever! Acts from Perle Noire, Prince Poppycock, Lady Nikolska, Natasha Estrada and Monsieur Romeo were all pretty good and brought a different style to Burlesque, it was something to see. I really liked Natasha Estrada because she had a fabulous costume and she’s curvy!
Dita costumes were amazing and made with tons and tons of Swarovski crystals and her custom shoes were to die for! One of my favorite costumes was the black couture tuxedo designed by Alexis Mabille with the top hat, that she later stripped down to a custom-made corset by Mr.Pearl and Swarovski thong, sexy! Dita bathed in a custom-made martini glass with over 250,000 swarovski crystals, it was so sparkly on stage! The “Rhinestoned Cowgirl” act was pretty amazing too with her Christian Louboutin “Lou-Boot-ins”. The last scene was the “Opium Den” act which was my all-time favorite! Dita’s dragon lady look was very lavish embellished with crystals and gleaming tassels!
After each of Dita’s acts she showered the crowd with rose petals and sparkle confetti, it was so pretty and such a pleasant surprise! I thought the show was worth every penny and would see it again but Charlotte was their last stop of the tour. I’m so glad that I got a chance to check it out. I love Dita Von Teese, she’s such a sex-kitten and she’s definitely the queen of Burlesque! Till next time! xoxo
