Phaedra Parks Performs Her Quickstep During Soul Train Night On Dancing with the Stars

After enjoying a week off from the competition,t he performers went all out for Soul Train Night on Dancing With the Stars.

In a fitting tribute, Rosie Perez, who began her career on the iconic musical variety show Soul Train, served as the guest judge for the episode on Monday, October 7.

“In the true spirit of a Soul Train dancer, I’m looking for the boogie,” Perez, 60, stated at the start of the night. She recognized some of that elusive quality in the evening’s first performer, Phaedra Parks, who showcased a Quickstep with her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.

“People can learn to dance, but you can’t teach someone how to boogie, and you definitely know how to boogie,” Perez told Parks, 50.

Pha Pha and Val brought their energy to the Quickstep, dancing to Aretha Franklin’s “Think” and earning an impressive score of 30 points. Check out their lively performance inside!
