Kelly Clarkson sat down with the legendary songbird, Patti Labelle recently! You guys may not know this, but Patti Labelle and I share the same birthday on May 24th! On Thursday, May 23rd, Labelle held a star-studded birthday bash in New York City to celebrate her 80th birthday! In attendance were some of her celebrity friends like Whoopi Goldberg, Gayle King, Gladys Knight, Sherri Shepherd, Tamron Hall, Andy Cohen, Tina Knowles and Debbie Allen. Yes, it’s Gemini season and she has been on a press tour to promote her new album “8065”.

Patti LaBelle’s career spans over six decades, and she’s known for her powerful vocal range and emotional delivery. She started with the group The Bluebelles, which later became Labelle. Patti LaBelle and her group Labelle are famous for the 1974 hit “Lady Marmalade,” which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her sweet potato pie became a viral sensation in 2015, thanks in part to a fan’s enthusiastic YouTube review.

Diagnosed with diabetes in 1994, LaBelle has become an advocate for diabetes awareness and healthy living. She often shares recipes and tips for managing the condition. LaBelle has launched her own line of food products, including sauces, marinades, and desserts, which are sold in stores like Walmart.
