I went to the most relaxing, eco friendly, chic spa the other day. I walked into Natural Body Spa and all I saw was fabulousness! They have several locations but the one I visited was in the Brookhaven area of Atlanta.
I was greeted by a lovely lady named, Julia and she showed me around the facility. She mentioned that their spas are Leed Certified, very warm, nurturing and they also educate their customers. It was definitely a healthy environment.
They have two sides to the spa and I was in for a mani & pedi on the 10 Ten nail bar side. When I was escorted over, it was amazing. I loved the architectural design of it. I was then handed a menu to pick on of the five elements for my nail service, that was very different.
That included:
- Fire
- Earth
- Metal
- Water
- Wood
I chose Water which was, Release & Renew for Dehydrated Skin Lemon EO & Milk soak, & Ground Almond Scrub with Jasmine & Chamomile Lotion.
My nail tech name was Angela and she was fab,we hit it off and had great girl talk! We did the manicure first which was very relaxing. She placed a warm neck pillow on me and served me hot herbal tea. All the sterilized instruments used on me were later placed in a brown paper bag with my name on it, so that way they have it or you can bring it back with you. The manicure bar I was sitting at was made with recycled glass, old nail polish bottles and finger nail files in the stone, how cool is that! I don’t usually get nail color on my hands, so I just opted out for a clear top coat.
My pedicure was done in the alabaster tubs,where I soaked for 10 minutes then moved over to these hydraulic chairs to fully relax and I fell asleep. I have never in my life fell asleep getting a service but this place made you feel so at home and at peace. The music that was softly playing was Sade, so that really did it for me lol. When I woke up my tootsies felt so great and I loved my Pardon Me pink OPI polish application.
