I was too excited to try the new KBBxTarget Future Collective collection that dropped on Sunday! Fashion and Beauty Editor/Blogger Kahlana Barfield Brown is well-known for her chic and edgy style and I have been following her for quite some time! She was a former beauty editor at InStyle magazine. She has now collaborated with Target for her own collection. I stopped in to my local Target to see the collection in person and liked many pieces! For some reason my store had a bunch of plus sizes but hardly in regular sizes, so I didn’t have many options to choose from…sigh!
As far as the quality, fit and looks, I thought the collection was nice! Great pieces if you work in an office environment and nice outfits for weekend looks or if you plan on going out clubbing with friends or to a concert! Great brunch looks too that you can style up and be cute sipping on mimosas lol. It’s a variety of styles for the edgy woman for sure! I think she hit every demographic too because it was something for everyone. I did feel as though the print of the dresses could have been in other prints, they were giving me old lady vibes but they were designed nicely and I liked the details with the mock neck buttons. I must be honest and say that I was not a fan of the asymmetrical bottom hem, it just threw the whole dress off to me argh!
The denim jeans were my all-time favorite and fit really good! I really liked the cuffed bottom detail, yes! I did have to go up a few sizes. I normally can wear a size 5/6 but I had to go up to a size 12, they run really small! Women that are curvy with thighs, hips and butt, yeah go up a few sizes lol! My other favorite pieces were the bright mock-neck blouse and plaid coat, so cute and I can wear them many times! I thought that the clothing was reasonably priced and if you’re a Target shopper, you know there clothes are priced just right! Stop in and support Kahlana, she did a fabulous job with the collection and I can’t imagine how she feels creating her own line for such a huge brand! Till next time….
