I was headed to a Galabeya Party on Sunday afternoon on a very hot sunny day and was so excited to get out of the house. My girlfriend was celebrating her 40th birthday and she’s also a professional bellydancer. She works at a Moroccan authentic restaurant that is very popular here in Atlanta. I knew the party was going to be full of blinged out guests in the fanciest garbs. I looked in my closet and couldn’t find a thing that was similar to a Moroccan themed party, so I got to thinking and that’s when I headed to my local Goodwill to see if they had anything. I got extremely lucky and found this embellished green mesh dress and it was only $7 and in excellent condition. I took it to my local cleaners and wore it for the extravagant affair.
Everyone loved this sparkly dress and was stunned to find out it was from a thrift store. They thought I either had it custom made or that I bought it at a store. I was super happy to find this pretty dress and I added a necklace as a headpiece to accent the total look! More pictures inside and unfortunately, I don’t have a link to buy this look but check your local second hand stores or Goodwill. They usually have lots of Indian styled dresses all the time. I just got really lucky and it’s all about having a keen eye to find things like this.
