Dreams do come true you guys! Still in tears that I got to meet and interview one of my fav journalists Tamron Hall. Did you guys know that in 2014, she was the very first African American woman to host the Today Show? She now has a new daytime talk show coming this Fall. She was one of the sweetest people and very down to earth, made me feel all warm n cozy lol. She said I’m family now lol! During our sit down yesterday at WSB-TV, we talked about her being a brand new mom at 48, baby Moses, the talk show and so much more!
Check out what the new mom had to say inside and congratulations on the new show Tamron! Please be sure to tune in to watch the “Tamron Hall Show” on September 9th at 3pm and here in Atlanta, it will air on WSB-TV. The show will debut in syndicated markets as well. And Speaking of WSBTV, I would like to shout them out too for making this interview happen, such appreciated. More pics and video inside….
How are you are dealing with the new baby, the talk show and juggling it all.
Tamron: I feel like I’m on a magic carpet and I just have to let it ride. Motherhood is the biggest thing in my life and having this show at the same time, I just have to let go. I realize it’s not in my control, all I can do is be the best at both and enjoy the ride.
Tell us about baby Moses?
Tamron: He is so funny and maybe I’m hallucinating but everytime I point the camera at him (which is every 3 seconds) he says I’m going to give you quiet baby, bold baby. He is very, very funny. He laughs and when I come in the room he locks eyes with me, it’s amazing. I try not to say it but I waited so long for it, so I wouldn’t trade this moment for anything in the world.
What can we expect on the show?
We taped our pilot, we started our rehearsals, we go live September 9th. We are bringing a show that people say that they’re missing, that type of show. It reflects what they are talking about, it reflects who they are, the range of the television community, diversity that is out there. We are opening the door for everyone. That’s our journey.
