On Saturday night we made or way to My Black Is Beautiful private dinner held at Gem Saloon in New Orleans. When I tell you it was a room full of great energy, that is an understatement! I’ve never felt such positivity in one place! We started by getting the opportunity to dine at a historical juke joint that Louis Armstrong use to play out! I loved this place and the food was out of this world! I’ve only had gumbo a few times but the way the made it, is by far my favorite so make sure to stop in this place if you plan to visit!
We got to hear Lisa Nichols positive speech then a few songs from R&B Singer Mali. He has such a great voice and he song his hit song Beautiful! We later dined, laughed and mingled over some of the best cuisine in town! I really enjoyed the pretty tables cape too, that had live butterflies displayed in jars, so pretty!
