Rainbow PUSH Coalition and Chevrolet have teamed up to host a series of FREE workshops to educate African American consumers on financial literacy and assist participants in developing concrete steps toward financial security.
The goal of the program is to help demystify the complexities of college financing, understanding credit, share the benefits of long-term money management and budgeting, and offer helpful insights on entrepreneurship and establishing a personal brand.

The interactive curriculum for the Money Matters series, taught by some of the nation’s leading public and private sector financial experts, is geared toward helping a cross-section of participants at various levels of financial literacy. Participants can expect to walk away from the FREE sessions with tools and resources to develop best practices that will help support stronger financial health.
Information is shared in an approachable environment with speakers delivering content in an easy to digest format for attendees to gain the best understanding of financing fundamentals.

Budgeting Basics – i.e. how to create and manage a personal budget, pay off debt, and help protect yourself from fraud.

College Financing & Managing Student Loan Debt – i.e. overview of financial options to consider when planning for college, including Financial Aid Programs, and tips on how to manage student loan debt.

Investing 101 – i.e. how to find multiple sources of income, stocks vs. other investments, creating a simple portfolio.
