“Madly Mischievous: Harley Quinn Makeup Tutorial!”

To create a Harley Quinn makeup look, start with a clean, moisturized face. Apply a white face paint or a full-coverage foundation for a porcelain base. Use black eyeliner to create dramatic cat-eye shapes, extending them outwards. Add bright red lipstick to your lips, and for an extra touch, outline with black for a bold effect. For her signature eye colors, use red and blue eyeshadow on each eye—red on one side and blue on the other. Finish with false lashes for extra drama and a sprinkle of glitter if you like. Don’t forget to add some playful touches, like heart or diamond shapes on your cheeks!

The makeup artists for Joker: Folie à Deux were Brian Kinney and Nicki Lederman. Nicki, an Emmy Award-winning makeup artist, worked with Lady Gaga who had her personal makeup and hair teams. Gaga’s makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, worked closely with Nicki on set. For Joaquin Phoenix, Nicki meticulously hand-painted his makeup every time, completely freehand. She had to constantly take photos for continuity, which she described as quite a challenge!

The movie releases this Friday! I’m headed to an advance screening tonight! Check back to see my review of the film! Inside see some examples along with a makeup tutorial, It would be fun to wear a Harley Quinn look at a screening…

From acclaimed writer/director/producer Todd Phillips comes “Joker: Folie À Deux,” the much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s Academy Award-winning “Joker,” which earned more than $1 billion at the global box office and remains the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. The new film stars Joaquin Phoenix once again in his Oscar-winning dual role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, opposite Oscar winner Lady Gaga (“A Star Is Born”). “Joker: Folie À Deux” finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him.

The film also stars Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) and Catherine Keener (“Get Out,” “Capote”), alongside Zazie Beetz, reprising her role from “Joker.” Phillips, who was nominated for Oscars for directing, writing and producing “Joker,” directed “Joker: Folie À Deux” from a screenplay by fellow Oscar nominee Scott Silver & Phillips, based on characters from DC. The film was produced by Phillips, Oscar nominee Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Joseph Garner. Lady Gaga served as music consultant. The film’s executive producers are Michael E. Uslan, Georgia Kacandes, Silver, Mark Friedberg and Jason Ruder.
