Vincent Martinez and I in his pink lol
I had a fun day this afternoon. I met my always fashionable friend Vincent Martinez for lunch. We met awhile back at several events, we then became fast friends. He is the nicest guy you would ever want to meet. He is a teacher at Grady High School and he teaches fashion. Vincent puts on 3 big events in Atlanta to benefit several organizations. The one I went to this year was the Doggies on the Catwalk which drew a huge crowd, plus it’s televised on Georgia Public Broadcast.
When we met for lunch, we had a great conversation. We talked about him being Cuban, growing up,blogging and him being a teacher. He came to the states when he was 5 and grew up in Miami. He loves fashion and going to great events here like me. We ate lunch at Twist located at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. Vincent told me he loved sushi and have I ever tried it. I’m not a big sushi eater and especially if it has raw seafood in it. No thanks!
Yellowtail Sushi not too bad
He wanted me to try the yellowtail sushi and assured me it wasn’t that bad lol..Sounds weird huh? You should have seen my face, ha! I tried it and it wasn’t as bad as I imagined. We had a great lunch and we then walked around and browsed some stores. Thanks Vincent for a lovely afternoon, we have to do it again real soon! Please check out his fab blog Fashionado, it’s so kewl and fashionable!
My pinkalicious designer hat I jacked(borrowed) from Lisa lol
I would like to give a big shout out to Lisa Wu Hartwell for letting me play in her closet! She let me steal this Pinktastic hat for my lunch date, you rock girl lol. The hat was designed by Arturo Rios. Happy Wednesday!
