Lisa Wu's Holiday Party - Talking With Tami

I’m PRAYING that you had a wonderful Christmas with your family! Over the weekend, I was invited out to a holiday party at Lisa Wu’s estate! She sent me a quick text and although it was 10 degrees outside on Friday night, I bundled up and weathered the storm! I headed over to her place because Ms. Wu doesn’t live that far from me and I knew it was going to be a good time! With both of us having busy schedules, I knew it would be great fun to catch up and see so many familiar faces.

A little bit of a back story with how Lisa and I met. I was doing my red carpet thing and I would always see Lisa out and she would always be fumbling around trying to find a place to put her belongings or purse. I told her one day, I would watch her things for her while she took photos and that’s how we met lol! We exchanged numbers and became fast friends and the rest is history. I think it’s been about 15 years or so now!

If you have been an avid reader, then you know that my family and her family would travel together and do all sorts of fun events together. I have been a background character on her prior realty show Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta and we filmed an episode together when she was on TV One’s Hollywood Divas. I think her youngest son EJ was a toddler when we first met lol. Well now EJ is 15 years old and almost driving now, can you believe it? Time flies doesn’t it? He is taller than us now and getting a deep voice, I can not!

Her older sons Jordan and Justin Sweat are doing great things! Justin is an actor now and starring in a few movies. Actually Justin was at a premiere the day of this holiday party, so that’s why he wasn’t present. Her oldest son Jordan graduated from college and working on a few business ventures. All her sons are amazing young men and so mannerabIe, I love it!

At the party there was catered food, cocktails, music and a professional photographer. I mixed and mingled, saw a few old friends and later we played the White Elephant game and people got a kick out of it lol. I left with a $50 gift card to a restaurant…not too bad! To catch you up, Lisa has a few new projects coming up and some movies coming out! She showed me a sneak peek of something in her phone with some celebrities. The Asian and African American beauty said to keep it under wraps for now but you will see something fun coming down the pipeline soon, so stay tuned for that! Enjoy the pictures inside….
