Each year, ASCAP’s Rhythm & Soul division recognizes individuals who have brought great honor to the city of Atlanta through their achievements in music and yesterday evening, ASCAP hosted its Third Annual Atlanta Legends Dinner honoring Antonio “L.A” Reid. I was out of the country so I couldn’t attend but it looked very nice! Check out more inside!

Guests kicked off the night with a cocktail reception, hosted by D’ussé Cognac, immediately followed by an intimate dinner ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Buckhead, Atlanta. The event was hosted by prolific singer-songwriter and actor Usher along with Grammy Award-winning rapper Big Boi from Outkast and music executive/producer Kawan “KP” Prather.
The evening was filled with influential tastemakers, executives and celebrities in the entertainment industry including T.I and Tiny Harris, Kandi Burruss, Astro, CeeLo Green, Timbaland, Polow da Don and many more. Mr. Reid received a signature bottle of Black D’ussé from Jay Z, who was unable to attend, and a special speech tribute from longtime partner and friend, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. He was also surprised with video montages from Andre 3000, Pink, Avril Lavigne, Mariah Carey, TLC, and Jennifer Lopez who were not in attendance. The event was sponsored by Nightlife Media, Microsoft, Cohiba Comador and D’ussé.
