On today’s “Tamron Hall,” Tamron hosts a special Mother’s Day show from the gardens at Wave Hill with TamFam contest winners from around the country! Television personality Coco Austin, blogger Eva Amurri, podcasters Erica Dickerson and Jamilah Mapp and comedian Dena Blizzard joined the TamFam to discuss motherhood, how they juggle it all and their influences as moms. In an adorable moment, Chanel, Coco’s daughter with husband Ice-T, hands out flowers to the women on the panel and to the audience. R&B singer and television personality K. Michelle also gave a powerful performance of “A Mother’s Prayer” that brought everyone to tears.

Eva Amurri on getting engaged again after divorce:
“It’s been such an interesting journey, the last, I would say, three or four years. If you follow me or read my blog, you’d know that I actually got divorced while I was pregnant with my third child and I was saying to these amazing women in the green room earlier, it was actually such a gift because it enabled their father and I to really start fresh when he was born and really put our energy and our focus into this amazing, beautiful soul and it actually helped us get on the same page, forgive, move forward and it’s been such a beautiful experience to now grow that to my relationship with my new fiance and my new happily ever after. I just really truly believe that kids are happiest when their parents are happy and I think my story, at least within our own family, I can only speak for myself, it’s been really proven to be true.”
Coco Austin on putting her career first before she had children:
“Well, it was really like I didn’t really want children. I was one of those people out there that didn’t, I wanted a career more than a child. I had a conversation with myself at 35 saying that ‘if it’s meant to be, God, it’s meant to be, it’s going to happen,’ and it happened within two months after getting off 17 years of the pill by the way. She was meant to be so I was honored to have her in my life and not screw it up. So I feel like I can’t hurt God, he’s like, ‘Here, I gave you a gift, I gave you a blessing so let me see what you can do with it.’ And I really want to be the best I can be since I was that mother that didn’t want it, I want to be the extreme mom!”
K. Michelle on the blessings of her son and mother:
On her son, Chase, “He’s like my little best friend. Just to see him. You know, you hold him in your arms and you look up one day and they’re telling you how they feel and their emotions and now he’s telling me his future and when he gets a family. And he’s screaming, ‘I’m a man!’ every moment that he can but he’s still my baby!” To her mom, “You are a phenomenal mother. Thank you for helping me with my son while I pursued my dreams and to take care of him. You are amazing, mama.”
