John Legend has chosen singer Coco Jones as his Battle Advisor. When she’s not portraying the effortlessly cool Hilary Banks on Peacock’s Bel-Air, Jones is making waves with chart-topping hits and soulful ballads, including her Grammy-winning 2022 single “ICU.” With a commanding stage presence that dates back to her early years starting as the 13-year-old star of the 2012 musical Let It Shine Jones is sure to elevate the performance level as Team Legend advances further in the competition.
The role of the Battle advisors is to join the coaches during rehearsals, offering constructive feedback to the artists as they prepare for their performances. This season’s advisors include Cynthia Erivo, mentoring Team Bublé; Kate Hudson, advising Team Adam; Coco Jones, supporting Team Legend; and country superstars Little Big Town (Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook) guiding Team Kelsea.
