Yesterday morning I got a chance to do a media tour and get a first look at the 14th Annual Home For The Holidays Designer Showhouse that benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles hosts the event and it’s the city’s leading luxury lifestyle and design magazine. The sale of tickets to tour the holiday home benefits the children’s hospital.
So this year they unveiled there luxurious 10,505 square foot newly constructed residence and boy was it a beauty! It’s located in Buckhead, Ga and has a contemporary flair to it. Inspiration was drawn from 19th Century English Architecture built by KBD Development & Construction. It features five bedrooms, six full baths and three and half baths. It’s a three story home that’s great for a busy family. I loved the huge open kitchen, fireside living room, covered porch area and infinity pool.
Eighteen of Atlanta’s very talented designers came together to put their spin on interior design in their own unique way. Each room I visited was amazing and was full of prints and pops of color! I had the pleasure of meeting some very talented African American designers while there. I wanted to introduce you to them just in case you wanted to spruce up your humble abode lol. More inside…
First I met duo team Tavia Forbes & Monet Masters of Forbes Masters. These two sweeties specializes in collaborating conceptualize and plan spaces, manage projects and source and stage custom furnishings for their clients. They decorated the Upstairs Lounge. As a pink lover, I adored this space the most and I loved the eclectic look that it was giving. The mural on the wall was my favorite and the African American artifacts. I also need to reach out to the ladies, I am in LOVE with those high back pink suede chairs, yes!

I had the pleasure of meeting Interior Designer Amber Guyton of Blessed Little Bungalow. She created the interior looks for the Scullery, Pantry and Powder Room. Amber specializes in affordable and aesthetically home decor. She loves to shop on a budget and is known for “designing on a dime”. I liked how she added African American hairstyles and products to the artwork on the powder room walls.
