Fashion Designer Aakofii

Good day you guys! I wanted to introduce you to an amazing fashion designer located right here in Atlanta! Her name is Aakofii and she is the most talented person that I have came across in a long time. I really enjoy highlighting women in business and she is definitely doing her thing in the whole fashion world. I spotted one of her signature “shirt skirts” on local radio/tv personality Rashan Ali and I had to find out more information on this designer!

I can’t remember what happened after I saw Aakofii’s work but for some reason, we fell back in touch with each other and I want to say it was through social media. We started following each other then it was an email, then a few phone calls, then back and forth with emails then yesterday, I was finally able to meet her in person! It was a long and anticipated journey but we finally got to meet and we hugged, laughed, chatted and brainstormed all afternoon! Aakoffi started off as an electrical engineer but quickly picked up the love of working with precious metals, gemstones and leather and her line was launched shortly afterwards! She has showed her work at various art galleries, department stores and also the Smithsonian Museum. Her line is quite edgy and if you like her kind of aesthetic then you will love her designs!

Her fashions are very unique and although its not something that I would normally wear, we are collaborating together to come up with a few looks since I will be one of her official brand ambassadors! I’m too psyched about the whole thing! She is also a fellow Gemini, so that means she has a very CREATIVE spirit like me! We kept talking over each other while our brains worked rapidly together feeding off of each others energy, it was pretty cool!
