My daughter Dootie was headed out to an event with her boyfriend and she had to wear something semi-formal. On the invitation it stated to wear something other than casual and Dootie went into a frenzy. I always tell young people that you MUST buy clothing other than for going out partying lol. They don’t hear me though lol. Luckily, I have a storage unit full of clothes and in my closet for any occasion that may arise. Although Dootie and I do not wear the same size, she was lucky I had a dress that came in that was way too big for me, so she was glad I had something that should could actually fit. I ordered a size 1x in this multi colored wrap dress but the way it was made and the fabric choice, made it too big for me. Dootie was able to wear this dress from Chic & Curvy Boutique.
I tell young people to buy at least two black dresses, one long and one short that will take you very far. Even if you think you won’t wear them. For some reason, young girls don’t think that far in advance or that they will get invited out to formal events, graduations, dinner parties, etc. I’m surprised that my own child didn’t know that fashion tip but she is still learning lol. She actually said “mom, that dress is not semi-formal” and argued with me until she got to the event and saw that she was the best-dressed there! See, I tell yah lawd! A mother’s job is NEVER done! Check out more images inside and wear to find! Happy Mother’s Day to you! xoxo
