I had the pleasure of finally checking out Cirque du Soleil‘s Luzia last Thursday night and I had a blast! I thought I was not going to make it since my schedule has been so hectic this month lol. I hardly ever miss a Cirque show because I really love attending each and every year! This “Luzia” show is in my top 3 now and it’s so colorful and full of energy! If you live here in Atlanta or plan on visiting soon, you have to stop down and check it out while its here, only till November 19th! More about the show, fab pics and my behind-the-scenes pics inside….
A WAKING DREAM OF MEXICO
LUZIA takes you to an imaginary Mexico, like in a waking dream, where light (“luz” in Spanish) quenches the spirit and rain (“lluvia”) soothes the soul. With a surrealistic series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, LUZIA cleverly brings to the stage multiple places, faces and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity.
1) Contortionist Aleksei Goloborodko, started training at the age of 4.
2) Juggler, he was really, really good and very entertaining to watch! He is also a Guinness World Record holder juggling seven pins at breakneck speeds!
3) He had me on the edge of my seat with his performance and skills!
4) Aerial Straps/Benjamin From Vancouver, Canada, amazing balance and strength! Specialist defying the laws of gravity at the center of cenote (natural sinkhole).
5) Football Dance scene was incredible and fun!
