Yesterday evening I had a wonderful time celebrating longtime friend Dr. Nicole Garner Scott’s “Come As You Are” 40th Birthday Celebration! The event took place at Ascent Peachtree (Penthouse Rooftop) overlooking the City of Atlanta, what a lovely backdrop to a fun and exciting party!
Nicole stated, life is a celebration and it’s a joyful moment, perhaps suspended in time, definitely a collegial and convivial occasion, where you are yourself as much as you play a role. The farce of social living. This experience is permanent because it represents, first of all, a state of mind: everything is possible, endless connections, limitless abundance and opportunity in the air.
I had a blast and loved the idea of hearing a bell ring, once you heard that you had to then go and meet someone new ha!
We sipped on signature cognac cocktails from Courvoisier, grazed on catered bites and danced all night long! The attire was cocktail chic with a twist of alter ego and the crowd was in such good spirits! Later, Nicole’s husband Artis gave her a heartfelt birthday toast, it was very moving… awh!
