Downtown Lawrenceville Concert On The Lawn With Country Singing Group Chapel Hart

On Friday evening, my girlfriends and I headed to a concert in Downtown Lawrenceville to hear a few acts. I seldom attend concerts, its just not my thing but I thoroughly enjoyed the live entertainment! The announcer then brought on stage a country girl group that looked very familiar to me. Their name is Chaple Hart and the shut the concert series down! Everyone was up on their feet dancing and boot scooting, it was a time!

Chapel Hart, is an all-female country trio from Poplarville, Mississippi, consists of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and their cousin Trea Swindle. Known for their unique blend of country music infused with rich harmonies and storytelling, the group has made a significant impact on the music scene.

The members of Chapel Hart grew up surrounded by music in their hometown, describing their upbringing as feeling like they “grew up in a musical” with constant music at every family event. The group started out in New Orleans, initially performing as a duo on the streets before Devynn Hart joined in 2018. This marked the formation of Chapel Hart as we know it today.

The band’s first album, “Out the Mud,” was released under their former name, Hyperphlyy, in 2019. They later rebranded to Chapel Hart and have since released multiple albums under this name.

Their big break came with their audition on “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) in 2022. Their performance of the original song “You Can Have Him Jolene,” a response to Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene,” was widely praised and led to significant exposure.

Chapel Hart has worked with notable artists like Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, who featured in their single “Jesus & Alcohol”  Chapel Hart returns home to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to celebrate success, festivities with fans – Seaside Social News] They were also featured on Darius Rucker’s single “Ol’ Church. The group was named to the CMT Next Women of Country Class of 2021 and has been recognized internationally, winning “International Song of the Year” and “International Group of the Year” in Scotland.

The members remain closely connected to their roots in Poplarville, Mississippi. They returned home to film the music video for “Made For Me” and were honored with a “Key to the City” for their contributions to the community. Chapel Hart has continued to build on their momentum with their latest album “Glory Days,” released in 2023, and are currently on a 60-date tour promoting it Chapel Hart’s journey is a testament to their talent, resilience, and connection to their musical heritage, making them a rising force in country music.
