On Monday, March 3, Atlanta moviegoers were treated to one of the first screenings of the new movie DIVERGENT. Over 700 fans lined the black carpet at Regal Atlantic Station in Atlanta to catch a glimpse of DIVERGENT’s two stars, Shailene Woodley and Theo James.
Woodley and James addressed the audience before the screening began. They answered questions about what it was like filming DIVERGENT and gave the crowd a sneak peek behind the scenes. Woodley said her favorite scene to film was the fan-favorite Ferris Wheel scene, which took over 12 hours to film in extremely cold weather.
In the spirit of film’s theme of “divergence” and special abilities, Theo James was asked to brush off his beat-boxing skills. Although the actor said he hadn’t beat boxed in about a decade, he got on the mic and busted out a beat. Co-star Woodley grooved along and the crowd went wild.
The crowd was also excited to see Alton Brown (Food Network), Jake Austin Walker (“Rectify”), Madison Lintz (“The Walking Dead,” “Parental Guidance”), Matthew Lintz (“Kill the Messenger”), and Meyrick Murphy (“The Walking Dead”) as they walked the black carpet.
Alton Brown and Shailene Woodley were overheard chatting about the best ways to make popcorn at home, the food Woodley confesses is her guilty pleasure snack. Woodley was also dressed to impress in Alexander McQueen white shift dress and black heels. Check out all the actions! Movie opens in all theaters March 21st! xoxo
