Davido, aka the “King of Afro Beats,” sat down with Kelly Clarkson the other day. He revealed that his father was so adamant that he finish school he went so far as to shut down his concerts.
Davido, 30, also dished on his latest album “Timeless,” and revealed that he asked his label for four more months in the studio so that he could go back to his old neighborhood and reunite with his original African producers to finish the album.
David Adedeji Adeleke OON, who is professionally known as Davido, is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. Davido was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He made his music debut as a member of the group KB International.
I love his music and just found out he was born right here in ATL go figure! My daughter introduced me to his music and my grandson loves it too! His hit song, “Unavailable” has over 68 million views on Youtube! All this time I thought his song said, I’m on my way lol!
