A benefit for the orphans of Haiti
I’ve been a lil quiet about Haiti.I don’t handle bad news well and especially if there is children involved. People handle different circumstances in different ways. I hate to see or read about other peoples perceptions of others when they grieve in different ways. Some people are very boisterous while others are quiet. I’m the quiet type when dealing with death and other things that are not so pleasant. I guess I’m thinking in silence.
Trust me I care but I don’t see a need to keep re posting images of the horrifying images of Haiti. I’ve seen enough on tv and trust me I’m trying my best to get things done on my end .My mailbox is full of emails from people asking for donations and other things I could do to help out.
My friend and humanitarian Christine Peters over at Peters Path boutique is working on getting a cocktail party benefit with a wine tasting and silent auction for the victims of Haiti. The monies raised will go to an organization over in Haiti called, www.loveachild.com.Im on the committee and we all met yesterday. In her boutique she always has vendors that aid other countries, I love her for all she does. She has a very warm spirit.
We adopted LoveAChild organization because they were already existing before all of this and it’s for the kids.This place takes care of orphans and now its probably overwhelming for them. I’m a mess about this whole situation right now.
