It’s 2016 and I have one more teen to get through high school and I have two more years…yes! I am almost home free lol! My son Pootie, as I affectionately like to call him, has plans on being a video game developer. For hours on end (in his free time), he plays his video games and he really loves it. If Pootie is going to spend that much time playing games, I thought hey, he should be getting paid for it. So I’ve been doing my research online looking for courses that he can take to learn video coding etc. Sometimes they offer summer camps, workshops and more.
That can definitely be a lucrative business for teens who love gaming. I always try to encourage my teens to live out their passions and dreams. Then, I remembered that it was the time of year for the Coca-Cola Pay It Forward program which is back again in 2016. They are now taking nominations for high school teens who are deserving of a $5,000 scholarship and the opportunity to attend the Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Academy in Atlanta! I’m definitely nominating my teen and you should too. I have all the details inside, check it out!
This year, Grammy nominated R&B Artist Tyrese Gibson will serve as the program’s
celebrity ambassador. The program is open to high school teens in grades 9-12. Eligible teens can nominate themselves here.
Each winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship and a trip from their hometown, for them and their mom/legal guardian, to attend the Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Academy, July 22-24, 2016 in Atlanta, Ga.
Deadline for submitting nominations? March 31, 2016.
