Christmas at Callanwolde w/Interior Designer Kerry Howard

Yesterday afternoon I got a chance to hang out with my friend, Interior Designer Kerry Howard. Some of you may remember him on Bravo’s Top Design as Big Daddy! Kerry is soo much fun and I had just seen him at a holiday party the other night and he told me that he had designed a room and wanted me to come check it out.

So the next day I met Kerry at his beautifully decorated home and quickly asked him did he suffer from O.C.D. lol. I was joking but was dead serious. Everything was so in place and clean! I was in heaven as he showed me around. I loved his eclectic styled living room and master bedroom.

So we waited for his family to arrive then we were off to Callanwolde. I had never heard of it but it’s where they celebrate design, and holiday splendor at this historic gothic tudor mansion. This mansion was built in 1920’s and owned by founder of Coca Cola, Charles Howard Candler. I couldn’t believe a family actually lived there because it was very castle like and huge! The Callanwolde is now a unique fine arts center and architectural landmark.

Kerry designed the dining room area and it was exquisite! He owns KMH Interiors and he showed me around. It was roped off but we got to go inside of them so I could get some pics. There was a vintage Tiffanys chandalier, and lots of antique pieces. He said some of the table toppers and vases in the china cabinet came from Home Goods. I would have never imagined! I loved the tiffany colors that he used to.

We walked in other rooms of the mansion as well. Some of my favorite rooms were the Breakfast room designed by Ann Wisniewski, Child’s Bedroom by Kathleen Lower, Nursery by Joann Kandric(simply pinktastic)and the master bedroom by Cindy Davis. I had a great time looking at all the holiday inspired rooms and I would like to thank my pal Kerry for inviting me out! Oh guys wanted you to know too that Kerry gifted me with a handmade wreath he designed! I was so excited and the colors match my house to a T! It’s hanging on my front door and now I have a designer wreath woot!
