Actor Channing Tatum sat down with Jimmy Fallon to talk about being directed by his fiancée Zoë Kravitz for Blink Twice, working with Ryan Reynolds for his surprise Deadpool & Wolverine cameo and the not-safe-for-work original title of Blink Twice.
Before hitting it big in Hollywood, Channing Tatum worked as a stripper in Tampa, Florida. His experiences in that job inspired the movie *Magic Mike*. Tatum was an athlete in high school, playing football, soccer, track, and even practicing martial arts. He initially attended college on a football scholarship but eventually dropped out.
Tatum began his career as a model, working with big brands like Abercrombie & Fitch, Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana before transitioning into acting. One of Tatum’s first major film roles was in *Coach Carter* (2005), where he played a high school basketball player. His breakout role, however, came in *Step Up* (2006), where he met his future wife, Jenna Dewan.
Channing Tatum is known for his love of nature and the outdoors. He has a ranch in Ojai, California, where he enjoys spending time with his animals and practicing various outdoor activities. In 2021, Tatum published a children’s book titled *The One and Only Sparkella*, inspired by his daughter Everly.
Tatum co-founded a production company called 33andOut Productions. The company produced the *Magic Mike* films and the documentary *Earth Made of Glass*. For his role in *Foxcatcher* (2014), Tatum trained extensively in wrestling and even cracked a tooth during a particularly intense scene but kept filming.
Tatum and Jonah Hill became close friends after working together on *21 Jump Street* (2012). They have a great off-screen friendship and often joke about their “bromance.”Despite his tough-guy image, Tatum has a soft spot for Disney. He’s mentioned that he enjoys watching Disney movies, especially with his daughter.
